roti cheese.

Currently feeling: Bloated
Currently listening to: Through The Rain - Mariah Carey

Before I start babbling, I would like to wish my dear brother, Marc, a very very Happy Birthday !! He turned 22 yesterday ! Boy, how time flies, it feels like it was just yesterday that we were hitting each other with a broom. Hee.

His birthday fell on the same day I had my convocation, Alhamdulillah. I am now officially a graduate. Hee.

I must have been super excited.

Thank you for being there, Daddy !

I was so touched that she came.

Oh how I miss Nanab.

Wouldn't have got through it without you, babe.

I returned my robe yesterday itself as I was gonna be working today so I could not take extra photos with me in it.
I am still waiting for the photos from Zana's camera.

I was so touched that Akey came.
It was her first time driving to Shah Alam.
She drove me back to Presint 11 last night, and was responsible for forcing me into posing for these photos below. Hee.

I had breakfast and early dinner with Mr. Sunshine today before he headed back to his hometown.
Roti Cheese at Restoran Al-Naz Maju at Presint 9 is the bomb.

That's all for today.
I need to get to bed as I have work tomorrow. Sigh.

Alhamdulillah.
I got through all of my papers.
And I am officially done with my degree !
Like, finally !
Six years of ups and downs and downnnnns !
Alhamdulillah.
Alhamdulillah.

Mummy, even though you're not here, I know you'd be sooo happy for me, kan ?
Thank you for your faith in me.
Sobs.

To Daddy for your never ending love, support, prayers and advice,
To Marc for keeping me sane whenever I'm on the verge of breaking down,
To Marlene for being there for me, giving me hope and encouragement through almost everything ! ,
To Akey, Gan, and Diana for believing in me when I did not, for never allowing me to give up, and for helping me get through the shitty times ! ,
To Zana and Nanab for everything we have been through together for the past four years,
To Adam for being such a sweetheart.,
To my extra special friends (you people know who you who are) never looked down on me when I felt like everything around me is crumbling down,
To Mr. Sunshine for all the time spent studying with me, for wiping my tears and holding my hands when I let the stress get to me,
And to the rest of the people who has been there for me all this while,
I thank you all from the bottom of heart !!

Wow.
Sangat surreal okay !
Someone pinch me, please.

Eh, Pharmacy bukan senang tau !
Hee.

Alhamdulillah.

Currently feeling: Bloated
Currently listening to: Hard To Say I'm Sorry - Az Yet

The only good thing about Over Her Dead Body is Paul Rudd.
Yummy yummy.

The interview's tomorrow and I'm just only starting on my resume.
Yamin has hers today, I hope she does okay. I know she'll do okay !
Nervousnya saya !

I feel so bloated that I think I can throw up over and over again.
I overate last night.
I ate enough to sustain me for the whole week. No kidding.

Okay, I need to wake Mr. Sunshine up.
That rarely happens because he's the one who usually wakes me up so saya bangga sikit. Haha.
But I'm up early because it's so freaking hot.
Ergh.

Oh, oh, Happy happy birthday Stumpy ku !
Love you babe !
Miss you loads !

myokymia.

Currently feeling: Hungry
Currently listening to: Nothing

My eyelid has been twitching since two days ago.
It has happened before la, but right now the twitching is starting to get on my nerves.
It turns out that I might be experiencing eyelid myokymia.
According to MedicineNet.com, eyelid myokymia is defined as fine continuous contractions of the eyelid muscle, typically involving one of the lower eyelids, less often an upper eyelid. The condition occurs spontaneously, sometimes triggered by stress, fatigue, caffeine or alcohol. In most cases, the condition is benign and ceases of its own accord.

Hmm.
Stress. Check. Exams.
Fatigue. Check. Exams !
Caffeine. Check. Exams ! I've been downing too much Coke Light.

Oh well, it'll all be over soon.
Hopefully.
InsyaAllah, Aamin.

Currently feeling: Sleepy
Currently listening to: Golly Sandra - Eisley

I haven't slept.
I haven't studied that much either.
Wait.
I did study a lot.
I just don't remember that much.
Sigh.

Mr. Sunshine spent fifteen hours accompanying me just now.
He didn't have to.
But he did.
*heart smiles*

Finals started two days ago for me. And OMG, it was a disaster !
I felt that I had studied as hard/much as I could but I still had a tough time answering. Sigh.
But I guess what's done is done and I shouldn't let that hinder me from concentrating on my next papers.
I can !
I'm not really sure I can.

My arse and hips are HUGE now I tell you.
It has been a while since I got into my baju kurungs, and when I did last Wednesday, the kain was tight okay. It was my baju kurung, not my kebaya (which I think would tear if I tried it on right now). Blergh.
Too much sitting on my arse that's why !
I need to walk more, like I used to.
How to walk and study ? Can ah ?

Why do people always judge others by how they look or what they wear ?
How can you assume that a person is (insert adjective here) just by looking at him/her ?
Bukan ke berdosa macam tu ?
But that's a sad fact of life, eh ?
You become a victim of stereotype and discrimination, just because you're different. Just because you're not their type.

I don't like Milo.
I can eat Milo.
I don't like drinking Milo.
Yucks.

I initially planned on writing about something else.
But..
Hmm.

I miss my Gombak people.

I need to do a little more studying, then I've gotta get to bed.
I feel a headache coming on.

Sigh.

Currently feeling: Anxious
Currently listening to: Emotion - Destiny Child

I don't know why I'm feeling really uneasy about tomorrow's presentation.
I'm not sure whether it's the talking in front of the pharmacists part or the embarrassment of not being able to answer the questions they throw at me part that I'm actually worried about.

PH210, Part 08, all the best !

My English teacher while I was in Form 2, Pn. Roslina Baghawi passed away earlier tonight due to cancer. Sedihnya.

I'm taking a break before I concentrate on completing my case presentation slides.

i miss home.

Currently feeling: Hungry
Currently listening to: Here I Am - Natalie Gauci

I just woke up from sleeping since 8 pm. I got back from our dinner performance practice at around 7:30 pm just now. Yeah, that's how exhausted I was. I haven't even had dinner. It's not that I was planning to anyway.

This week was crazy. Apart from missing the Backstreet Boys concert (haha) last Wednesday night because I had no transport as I had to be back in Shah Alam that night itself. I had my hospital clerkship the next morning.
This week also saw me being busy with my presentations (yawn !) and my faculty dinner performance practices. I'm gonna be singing (while some of them dance) yo ! And acting. By the way, I suck at the latter. Sobs.

I'd have to admit that I have a bunch of very talented classmates.
It's funny that the thought that it's our final semester together saddens me a bit. Hmm.

I haven't lost any weight which is pretty sucky as our dinner is only a week away. Should I just starve myself ?

I'm starting to think that I'd be single for the rest of my life.
Because I have too high expectations on how the man of my life should be. And it doesn't help that I am someone who is just too difficult to be with.
Plus, I'm too afraid of history repeating itself.

So yeah, I'm not only gonna die being a fat ass. I'd also be alone.
Sigh.

I miss home.
I miss Daddy.

Currently feeling: Restless
Currently listening to: Memories - Eisley

I've just managed to finish my presentation slides for tomorrow.
I've got my Pharmacy Practice IV test right after the presentation tomorrow and I haven't studied a thing.

Oh by the way, I'm at Selayang Hospital's computer lab.
Our ward's pharmacist is on leave today and the patient which case Ayu and I clerked this week was discharged yesterday. So basically, we've got nothing to do here.
We're planning to go galavanting in awhile though. Wheee !

Hello.
I am almost done with my slides for this Friday's presentation.

It's absurd how anxious I am feeling now. Just because of you.
You make me smile, please stay for awhile.

white coat.

Currently feeling: Sleepy
Currently listening to: Stop and Stare - OneRepublic

I have a case report to complete. I am too darn lazy.
I have a presentation to get started on. I am just sick of looking at Microsoft PowerPoint.
I have a test next week to study for. I am experiencing severe loss of interest.
I mean, I need a break. Please ?

I am in Shah Alam, doing my laundry at the moment. Washing one whole week's load of dirty clothes with a semi automatic washing machine is a good form of exercise I tell you. Note: I can't wash everything at one go. Hee.

Annisa would be dropping by later and we'd be hanging out for a bit. We have so much to catch up on !

Marc has a test today. Hope he does okay.

I miss the sister. (Kau rindu aku tak ? Hee.)
I miss Daddy. I know he misses me and my incessant chatter too. Hehe.

Ayu and I was at Hospital Putrajaya last week for our case clerking. Apart from all the scary stories the previous groups told us, about how stern the pharmacists there were, I think everything went pretty well.
I'd be in Selayang from next week onwards. I hope that goes okay.

The faculty had our annual White Coat Ceremony (white coat, because all of us have to put on our lab coats) yesterday afternoon. It is where we have to recite our 'pharmacist's oath', and where all the dean's list award recipients would receive their certificates. The Dean had a little chat with us after that. It's good to know that he's concern about what's going on with us.

I shall go get ready now.

syrup and bandung.

Currently feeling: Melancholic
Currently listening to: Never Again - Justin Timberlake

Good morning people.
The lack of updates here is due to the current hectic and exhausting situation of my final semester.
It's all about cases, day in day out. Case report, case clerking, case discussion, case presentation ! Argh.
Every day by the time I get back from school, I'd be lying 'dead' on my bed for a couple of hours. But then after that it's back to work again la kan. Sigh.
But I'm very grateful for where I am right now and I won't change a thing about anything.
I'd just have to grin and bear it for now.

Last Saturday, my faculty organized a futsal tournament and I was one of the so-called cheerleaders for my class teams. We only had a few hours of practice the night before and along with our unattractive pom-poms (Zana calls them anorexic pom-poms), we performed and lost. Hee.

During cheer practice. Hehe.

The 'cheerleaders'.

ROFL.

With Zana.

The male team. They were good, but unfortunately they lost.

Zana, Yamin and I.

Halmy ! I think he secretly wanted to be in the cheerleading team. Hee.

Ayu, Zana and Juju.

Half of the girls' team. They won second place yo !

Yus will be getting engaged later.
I have a wedding to attend tonight.
It feels good to be home. Even for awhile.

This semester is teaching me (and the rest of my classmates) to be more patient and stronger I guess. I think we'd be dealing with a whole lot more in the working world.

Gosh, this song is so sad.

Oh yeah, SWEENEY TODD IS A MUST WATCH !

Until my next boring post, take care everyone.

polar bear.

Currently feeling: Sick
Currently listening to: Sunburn - Muse

This week is the first of my 8 week hospital clinical clerkship in which we'd be spending every Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at different wards, clerking cases and reporting them.
This week me and my partner, Ayu were placed at the HTAR Psychiatric ward. It was an very interesting experience. Despite what happened yesterday. Click to read, please. (P/S: Daddy cracks me up !)

Polar bear ! Haha.
So yeah, yesterday was scary. Yet, interesting. To be able to talk to these patients, learn how to deal with them when they become aggresive (or try to kiss you) was such a valuable lesson for me. I felt so sad talking to one particular patient who was in her depressive episode of her bipolar disorder. She was thinking too much about her financial and family problems. To think that it can happen to any one of us. So you people out there, if you feel that you're troubled or distressed (even about the slightest things, there were patients who were admitted just because of boyfriend problems), do talk it out with a family member or a friend, at least. Even if they can't help you physically, at least they're doing you a favor, mentally and emotionally. Don't keep it all in !

Last Saturday, the family and I were at Aunt Maziey's place for lunch and dinner. In between that we had a karaoke session. A 7 hours one ! Heee.
From Yesterday Once More to I'm A Slave For You to Seberapa Pantas, we (the cousins) had a great great time. Daddy showed off his talent too, with a few renditions of the oldies.

Singing makes me happppyyyyy !

Currently not feeling so well. This semester has been so taxing. Yes, it has only been three weeks.
Sigh.

Pimples galore ! Ergh.
Menses.
Hmm.

While I was taking a nap this evening, this guy from my class showed up in my dream. We were together. Funny. No one would guess that I would dream of him. Haha. Kelakar nak mampus.

I desperately need to lose weight. Help ?

some days you just feel stupid.

Currently feeling: Cold
Currently listening to: Don't Bring Me Down - Sia

Today witnessed me giving my worst presentation ever in my whole 6 years of being a pharmacy student.

Hmm.

Screw that.
It's a learning process, right ?

I never thought I was cut out to be in this line, anyway. I never wanted to be a pharmacist. I'm not as intelligent as others. I'm not as articulate as others. I'm not a fast learner.

Sigh.

Enough of self criticism la kan.
It won't do me any good.

But I do know one thing I can do.
Sing.
Not as good as Mariah or Aguilera.
But good enough for me.
So, I'd be singing all my heartbreaks away for the rest of my life.

I love this song.

spree.

Currently feeling: Cold
Currently listening to: Memories - Eisley

Okay so I concede.
Shopping does lift your spirits up sometimes.
I don't do much of it but when it happened (not so) recently, I have to admit it was a pretty delightful experience.
Thank you.

As I have mentioned previously, my class organized a Meta Analysis Workshop last weekend and I was one of the speakers.
Initially I was pretty hesitant about the whole thing because I wasn't familiar with the topic. And as usual, I was lazy. Heee.
But since I've already agreed to do it, and people were counting on me, it was my responsibility to at least try.
It wasn't that bad, Alhamdulillah.
In the words of Prof. Zaki, "That was good. I was impressed."
Bangga okay. Haha.

I had to skip classes yesterday as Daddy, Marc and I had to attend a hearing pertaining to Mummy's property etc.
Even though I got a bit emotional during the hearing ( ), Alhamdulillah, things went well for us.
It felt good to see Daddy looking so relieved.

I had a medical abbreviations' test just now. I think I only answered 3/4 of it. I can't believe I forgot what PTH stands for. Heee.

I have another test this Friday.
And a presentation.

So yeah, I haven't had time to sit down and blog.
Or do my usual Facebooking or Friendstering.

Hmm.

Wish me luck people.

resolutions.

Currently feeling: Melancholic
Currently listening to: Seven Whole Days - Toni Braxton

My final semester (insyaAllah) started yesterday but it seems that my mind and body still haven't tuned into the study mode.
I'm in the mood for more bumming around.

I have some sort of a meta analysis workshop this weekend (from Friday to Sunday actually), and I'm one of the presenters. I'm gonna have to talk on How To Appraise A Clinical Paper which I know nothing about. *slaps head*
I am nowhere near ready for the whole thing.
Blah.

The whole family was at home last night for New Year's eve. I didn't feel like doing anything/going anywhere, plus Daddy is (still) not well.

I was out with Heikal yesterday evening and we watched Alvin and The Chipmunks (haha). It was cute !
The night before that, we watched The Golden Compass. I have not read the book so I can't comment on how close the movie follows it. I wasn't expecting much, but I kinda enjoyed the movie and I am looking forward to watching the rest of the trilogy.

Marc is moving into a place which is only a block away from mine. Hehe.

I have never been good with resolutions, yet I still have a few this year. I hope I'd follow through this time.

Remember how sucky I said my exams were last semester ?
Well, the results are out and I PASSED EVERY SINGLE SUBJECT !!
Even the oh so dreadful Clinical Pharmacokinetics okay.
I did wayyy better than I thought I would. Hehe.
Alhamdulillah.

I can enter my final semester with less worry now.
Wheeee !

it's all coming back to me now.

Currently feeling: Sleepy
Currently listening to: Nothing

Daddy's blood test and checkup was postponed to April next year. The last checkup he had was in February this year which means no checkup for more than a year.
I am angry.
Angry at the fact that they couldn't call or mail or text or use other means of communication to let Daddy know that it was postponed instead of him having to drive all the way there for nothing. What a waste of time, fuel and energy !
Okay so maybe it was not a total waste, he did get to take his new supply of medications.
I really don't get these people.
Why the postponation ?
Haha, I know, postponation is not a word. It just sounded cool (and funny) in my head.
Sorry.
Let me rephrase that, why the postpone ??
Sigh.

I was in Shah Alam with Lene earlier, printing four copies of my thesis.
Then I left them with Pojie as she's gonna hand them over to Chona who will then pass them to Farhan who's responsible of bringing the whole class' thesis for the hard cover binding process.

I'm tired.
I'm hungry.
I'm sad.

Currently feeling: Perplexed
Currently listening to: P.S. (I'm Still Not Over You) - Rihanna

Hello.
I know this is like the umpteenth time I have changed my blog URL and I really apologize for any trouble caused. *blushes*

This was just something I had to do.

The holidays have officially started for me today.
After three weeks of sucky exams and two days of presentations, I'm free !
For a month that is.

There has been a lot going on in my boring-yet-full-of-drama life even though I haven't been updating much.

Hmm.
What better way to start a new blog than with pictures !
Load and loads of them !

Okay, here goes.
So for the past three weeks, I had this.

Frosted Chocolate Malt

And this.

Chicken Baked Rice

And this.

Cookie Summit
And a few mouthfuls of this.

Mac and Cheese
With this guy.

At Swensen's.
On different days, mind you.
Gosh, sedap gila okay !
I believe we'll be going there often after this.
Because I said so. Okay ?

The whole family was at Aunt Maziey's place on the night of November 3rd. Faiz was back for awhile.
It was the first time I've ever tasted Nasi Bukhara.
The spaghetti was delicious ! It had some kind of beans in it if I remember correctly. Not that any of you cared right.

Anis, Alice and I.

With cousins, Lynn, Faizal and Qistina.

Marc and I.

Faiz and I.

One of my schoolmates, Melina Su got married on that same weekend.
I was ecstatic that I got to meet Yus who was the bridesmaid that day.
It's been ages that we last saw each other.

The newlyweds.

Akey, Yus and I.

Some of my ex schoolmates.

The one and only, Akey.

With Halim.

Heikal.

On Deepavali, my classmate, Chona had her open house.
Nanab, Zana and I almost went into the wrong house as two doors away from Chona's had tents all put up. The three of us were actually already standing in front of that house looking inside trying to look for any of our classmates. Malu okay.

From left: Yamin, Zana, Nanab, Chona and me.

Ina, my roomie with her boyfriend.

Lene and I spent Deepavali night at Barath's.
We had yummy mutton curry. I had two, erm maybe three servings of it.
Cheryl and I couldn't stop munching on the murukku and nuts.
No pictures though. Sad.

Last Saturday was the last day of Syawal and I was at Akey's place having pizza, satay and Nasi Daging. Nyum.
We talked until it was almost 3am and I had to rush home as Daddy woke up hypoglycemic.

The sister and I have also managed to watch 1408, Stardust (and OMG Charlie Cox is delicious !) and 30 Days of Nights.

My research presentation last Monday went well, Alhamdulillah.
It was funny though when I confidently fed my lecturers bullshit crap while answering one particular question that I didn't know the answer to.
I think they believed me. Heee.
My project site presentation yesterday was okay too, despite the fact that we were bombarded with comments and questions by the HTAR pharmacists.
I was the only one answering and I almost snapped at them. Almost.
All in all everything went fine.
I'm just glad everything's over.

I put too much belacan in the kangkung belacan I cooked just now.
Hmm.
Lene and Marc just have to shove it down their throat I guess.
Heee.

I'm gonna continue YouTubing.
Or probably sleep the rest of the day off.
Eh, I can't. I'm supposed to exercise later.
Hmm.

Happy holidays !
