i still love chicken.

Three days to go to the end of 2009. Have you made any resolutions for 2010 yet ?
I have given up on making them, because I never seem to be able to make them all come true. So, instead of creating a long list of unattainable goals, I'll stick to making and realizing them one by one. Regardless if it's the year 2010, 2015, or 2020. :p

My first goal for 2010 is...TO GET MARRIED.
Haha. Well, actually the aim is to have the nikah and both receptions run smoothly as planned. InshaAllah.
I am so anxious to get it all over and done with.
Pardon me, I don't me to sound like I'm so itchified (Mummy used to use this term, hehe) to get married but it's just that I am kinda tired of having all these wedding details in my head. :(
I am trying my best to be optimistic but most of the time I fail.
Hope and pray.
Hope and pray.
Ameen.

Speaking of weddings, one of my best friends' tied the knot a fortnight ago (12/12/2009).

Diana and I, we go a long way back. We've known each other since we were 12 when we used to go for mengaji together. We sat next to each other for two years in Form 4 and 5. We cried over breakups, laugh over everything, gossip in class until the teachers call our names out. Aww, those were some good old memories !
I am so happy that she has finally found her Mr Right. :)
I am still finding it hard to believe that she's somebody's wife now. Hee.

 ♥

 The hantaran.

 Ameen. :)

 Mas kahwin.

 The stunning bride.

The stunning dais. :)

Silat performance which was really, really good. Look at the size of those blades. I was covering my face out of fear.:p

Both Marc and Lene received their exam results before the weekend Diana got hitched.
And they did AWESOME lah !
I am so proud that Marc is finally done with his degree and that Lene is going on to her second semester already !
Lene, Marc, Linn and I treated ourselves, Daddy and Mr Sunshine to some Kenny Roger's Roasters. :)

The sister got us these wicked tees. :)

I went to get my hair trimmed and my roots touched up at a salon here in Kuala Berang.
I didn't have time to do so when I was back in Gombak.
I do not think I'd be going back there anytime soon. She washed my hair in the same sink her children used to wash their fingers etc. Gross, right ? :(
The hair's not too bad considering that her rates were wayyyyy cheaper than anywhere I've been.

Oh oh, AVATAR WAS EXTRAORDINARILY AMAZING ! (Yes, you did just read 'extraordinarily amazing') Hehe. :D

Ok, so now I have nothing else to talk about. Hehe.
Goodnight.

shh.

I am secretly afraid that people would laugh at how fat I look in my wedding dress.

Ok there, I said it.
Bye.

s.o.s

Good morning.

I had trouble sleeping last night. My mind seemed troubled and anxious. My heart was racing for no apparent reason.
I am distressed !

Anyway, I'm off to work now.
Have a good day, people.

nasty.

I have not been in a very good mood since yesterday afternoon. I do not know why, but the slightest things are making me cry and I have trouble stopping the tears.
As a result, I woke up and went to work puffy-eyed today. Yes, unlike most of you lucky ones out there, I am on call this weekend. I am not complaining though, in fact I requested to work this weekend.

Oh yes, Salam Ma'al Hijrah 1431H. :)

He went to Kemaman to get his motorbike, and is currently riding it back here.
I am extremely worried, I didn't really approve of him doing so.
The roads are slippery since it's the rainy season and it's almost a 3 hour ride from there to here. :'(
A few minutes ago, he was at Dungun changing his tyres.
I think Mr Sunshine hates me right now. For being such a bitch to him these past two days.
I AM SORRY. :'(
Nak nangis lagi boleh tak ?

My menses are due in a week's time so I've gotta be PMSing, right ?

I intended to write about what happened last weekend but this nasty mood of mine is getting in the way.

Later, perhaps ?
Ok, sambung nangis jom. :'''''''(

he was checking out my ass.

Today I went for my first official ward round. :)
I've been on rounds before this, but along with a colleague of mine and at the female ward she is in charge of.
The round was not too bad. Did not communicate that much with the doctor. Was a bit nervous of being asked questions that do not know the answers to !
Was also nervous as there were quite a number of patients with tuberculosis and retroviral positive.
Looking forward to doing better tomorrow. InshaAllah. :)

Mr Sunshine has transferred both his Streamyx and Astro accounts to the place I am staying now. I do not have to live in boredom anymore. :)

Had a short date with Mr Sunshine after work today.
He commented that my ass has gotten mantap. Hahahaha. I'm feeling it too. Hahaha. Semua orang boleh muntah sekarang.
In my defense, I've been doing a whole lot of squats lately.
But...they don't seem to be working on my thighs ! Plus this extra weight on me has not been dropping off at all. At all. :'(

I was on call last weekend but Mr Sunshine and I still found time to head to East Coast Mall, Kuantan after work on Friday to watch 2012 which was a huge dissapointment.
The both of us could not believe we traveled for more than two hours to watch (if I may say so) a piece of crap. There's no doubt that the visual effects was good, but the script was nauseatingly cheesy most of the time, and the plot was downright sucky. Even the cast could not save it from being a flop.
Mr Sunshine and I were giggling in disbelief throughout the whole movie.
I was so relieved when it was over.
Definitely the worst movie I've watched this year. -_____-

It's a good thing we also drove there to terminate my Maxis Broadband. There are no Maxis Centres in Terengganu.
Another good thing about last Friday was dinner. We had an early dinner at Black Canyon Coffee House. Has any one of you been there ?
It was our first time, and we were very pleased with the menu variety and price.
They have a selcetion of the menu they call the Fusion Menu.
I ordered the Fettuccini Chicken Green Curry which was not bad. Not too spicy. But I love my food spicy !

Mr Sunshine tried the Fusilli in Chicken Tom Yum. IT WAS THE BEST TOM YUM I HAVE EVER TASTED WEH ! I felt like having another bowl !

I'm salivating by even looking at the pictures.
An added point was the staff were really courteous.
I would definitely want to go back there again. *hint hint*

Oh yeah, I was surprised with roses last Thursday. :)

I'm gonna watch Phineas and Ferb now. :D
Bye !

I miss laughing my heart out.
I miss being me.

maggi.

It has been raining for a few days straight here in Terengganu, and as some of you observant ones out there might already know, it has already flooded in a few areas here. Including where I am now.

I woke up yesterday to the phone ring of my colleague from telling me that she was unable come to work as the roads to the hospital were blocked. Soon, I learned that only two pharmacists including me who could be at the hospital, and the both of us stay at the quarters.

The hospital and my quarters area are not affected as we're situated on high land, but both roads just after the hospital, leading to Kuala Terengganu and Kuala Berang town respectively, have been closed due to the water rise.

We're literally stuck in the middle with limited access to food supply (and McDonald's !). When I say limited, it's because as at now, only huge lorries, or tractors can go through the water.

I have to admit, I am a bit of a jakun about this whole flood scenario.
I know floods happen in KL too, but from where I was growing up I have never actually been affected by anything like this.

I am a bit excited yet scared and sad at the same time. Gila kot ?
Excited by this new experience, and being able to learn how to deal with it.
Scared that it will get worse.
And sad that Mr Sunshine and I cannot meet each other. Worse still, I MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO GO HOME THIS AIDILADHA if this goes on or gets bad.
*cries*
A few snapshots the jakun side of me took yesterday evening. Pleas pardon the bad quality photos from my phone.

Here are photos of my poor tyre which I damaged two weekends ago. :(

But I learned how to change a tyre so it's all good. Thank you Mr Sunshine. :)

Oh yeah, I moved into my quarters last week, or was it last two weeks ?
I am alone every single night in this big (leaking) place I should learn to call home.
I have no life here in Kuala Berang.
I sleep, go to work, come back from work and exercise (cewah, baru dua hari sahaja actually !), go online, and watch OTH/DVDs. And, REPEAT.

Work is good, Alhamdulillah.
I have not been able to say that AT ALL for the past year, eh ?

I am living on instant noodles right now.
I have a tin of tuna and a tin of baked beans with cheese in my kitchen too.
Saving them for when I get tired of Maggi/Mamee/Cintan.

And today I hit a curb, dented my rear rim and punctured my tyre. :'(

I burnt a huge hole in Mummy's batik baju kurung while ironing it last night. :'(

molek lah tu.

I am in Gombak.
Had to come back to get the rest of my things and settle a few wedding related issues.
I am starting to fall sick from all this traveling and living like a nomad for the past week. :(

I was on call last Saturday in Putrajaya, Mr Sunshine came down by bus that evening and we both drove to Kuala Terengganu that night itself.
Checked in at Grand Continental Hotel for two nights. Rented a room at RM70 per night at a 'homestay' in Kampung Sungai Rengas for three nights.

I reported for duty at Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Terengganu on Sunday morning and only got to know in the evening that I will be working in Hospital Hulu Terengganu.
When the person in charge said Hulu Terengganu, I went, "Kat mana tu ??"
It's actually 45 minutes from Kuala Terengganu, which is not really bad compared to Setiu, Besut or Kemaman which takes an hour or more to reach.
So, Alhamdulillah.

Hospital Hulu Terengganu is situated in Kuala Berang. It's a district hospital so it's not

But my first week there was good, Alhamdulillah. :)
I am one of their clinical (ward) pharmacist, in charge of the male ward.
I have tons of reading up to do to brush up on my clinical knowledge !

Initially Mr Sunshine and I spent everyday looking for a house to rent in the area between Kuala Terengganu and Kuala Berang. We were planning to pick a house that we can stay immediately after we get married. We did not opt to stay at the hospital quarters as we thought it would be troublesome for him to commute to Kuala Terengganu from the hospital everyday. But house hunting was harder than the both of us thought. :(

After giving it much thought (Mr Sunshine reluctantly agreed to travel to and fro daily, haha), the both of us decided that I should apply to stay at the hospital quarters for officers. So I did just that and was lucky enough to get into the very last lot ! Alhamdulillah.

I have checked out the place. Apart from it being filthy and unkempt, the place is quite spacious, with three rooms and one bathroom, a toilet and built-in (outdated) cabinets.

It still needs a lot of repairing and touching up to do, but I think I will be able to make it as cosy as home in time for Mr Sunshine to move in. InshaAllah. :)

I won't be able to put my things in until they clean the place up. They will be starting to do tomorrow. I hope I can move in by Sunday. Ameen.
Frankly, the idea of staying there alone for the next two months is a bit creepy lah. But there's nothing I can do about that, can I ?

Being 6 hours away from Daddy, Marc, Lene and all my friends gets to me at times. Sobs.
But I am grateful to have Mr Sunshine nearby. He has been my rock, listening to me whine about almost everything (even when I blamed him for making me get posted so far !), wiping my tears when I felt homesick and exhausted and driving me to McDonald's when I am down. :)
Thank you awak. :)

Siapa nak melawat Terengganu boleh lah stay over at my place. :)
I can chaffeur you around town, we have McDonald's tau. Hehe. :)

Argh, nak demam. :(

hello terengganu !

Hi all.
Guess what, I am gonna (finally) bid farewell to Putrajaya, and wave hello to Terengganu !
So today (yesterday), the ten of us who are still remaining in Hospital Putrajaya finally got to know our posting results ! It came as a surprise to us as we were already preparing ourselves for the possibility of having to stay on for another whole month. Argh, the horror.
The fact that 7 out of 10 of us got retained in JKWPKL was pleasant news. We all got where we applied for, Alhamdulillah.
There's just one problem, all of us do not know where (which hospital/clinic) exactly in Terengganu/Sabah/Sarawak/KL that we're gonna work in.
I am gonna try to call tomorrow to check.
Oh yeah, according to the person I spoke to just now, we're supposed to report for duty on November 1st. Yes, I know, that's only like a couple of days away.

I am hoping and praying for the best. Ameen.

Had dinner and dessert with The Best Friend just now. :)
I officially have five McDonald's Coke glasses.
Sorry, I have minimal willpower lah. :p

Goodnight.

i need to get out of here already.

I spent the weekend in Puteri Resort, Ayer Keroh, Malacca, attending the 2009 Pharmacy Scientific Conference. 3 days and 2 nights of talks, CPDs and all the PRPs (including me, of course) had to present our research/study in front of almost 150 pharmacists/doctors/pharmacy assistants.
It was such and exhausting event !
There were 13 of us who had to present and compete against each other. Talking in front of such a crowd sure brought me back to when I used to debate. Sigh.
I had shivers of nervousness. I felt like my supervisor had high hopes of me grabbing first place.
But who knew, I actually did ! Hehe. :p

Winning felt good, Alhamdulillah. But the thought of having to bring my research to the national level is scaring the s*** out of me.

Post-conference dinner at Bumbu Bali, Puchong. :D

I would definitely suggest checking out Bumbu Bali Restaurant in Bandar Puteri, Puchong. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and I loved the ambience. Felt as if I was dining in Bali. OK kidding, I've never been to Bali. :p
But I loved the place. :)

Has anyone ever stayed at Puteri Resort ? If no, I would advise against it.
Though the rooms were satisfactory, the food was bad. Really bad lah. From smoke tasting pudding, tough and tasteless lamb to cockroach smelling water. Sobs.
Maybe it was just our luck, but I can say that if I could help it, I will never go back there.
A group of students from UiTM (my juniors) spent the last three weeks at the hospital rotating between the Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM), Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and (Cytotoxic Drug Reconstitution (CDR) units. Since I am in TDM and the pharmacist in charge was on leave during that period, I had to be in charge of them, guiding them and conducting discussion on cases with them. It was a good experience and it's making me think of making a career change.
We'll see how things go, InshaAllah. :)
I was going through a really stressful day at work last Friday before departing to Malacca but what the students got for me on that day before leaving really really made my day !

 Click, click to enlarge !

Biarlah 'Thank's you' pun. I was so touched, I felt appreciated ! :)

Sejuk hati saya. :)

All of us in Putrajaya are currently still waiting for the results of our posting. Most of my friends were sent to Sabah, Sarawak, Kelantan and Pahang. Some lucky ones were retained where they previously were. I changed my application to Terengganu, since Mr. Sunshine is over there. But I am still in doubt and am preparing for the worst. :(
Mintak dijauhkan, Ameen.

ganu.

Most of the PRPs from all the other hospitals have already gotten to know where they would be working for the next three years as Fully Registered Pharmacists (FRPs).

Mr Sunshine stays in Terengganu.
STAYS IN TERENGGANU.
At the Kuala Terengganu Pharmacy Enforcement Department, to be exact.
*cries*

the last goodbye.

Dear (insert name),
I honestly do not appreciate the recent text messages from you.
Haven't I made it clear that I want you to steer away from me ?
What is it that you really really want from me ?
Forgiveness ?
I forgive you.
Even if your incessant apologies are insincere (don't blame me, I never regained my trust in you after all those years), you of all people know how forgiving (and some might say foolish) I am.

But that does not mean things can go back to how they used to be.
Or that we can be friends.
I made that mistake and I do not want to turn back.

I hope you know that I am not praying for anything bad to happen to you or your family but you must also understand, while I was hurt I prayed hard that you will get what you deserve.
So may you get what you deserve, be it bad or good, not from me, but from Him. InshaAllah.
You say you want to be a better man in the future ?
Alhamdulillah.

But please just stop whatever you're trying to do now.
I shall remind you again, we're not friends, never have been.
Thanks.
Bye.

xoxo

i'm still hungry.

I'm gonna start this post with a picture I took two Sundays ago at Carl's Jr. One Utama where we had a mini get together for Gan and Navin's birthday.

Happpy Birrthhhdayyyy both of you ! :)
I think that's Trev's hand on the left. :p

I was exhausted (back to back night shifts *curses*) so I did not go around using my camera plus I had to leave early !:(
But it was definitely fun while it lasted. :)

Mr Sunshine came down last Thursday night.
We watched A Perfect Getaway at MidValley on that same night.
I found the movie quite interesting. We talked on and on about it on the way back. :)

The sleepyheads waiting for the movie at McD's. This is the first of many (but not uploaded) pictures which only shows one eye of his. Haha.

We started off Friday with breakfast at McD's (yeah I know, again ?). I LOVE McDonald's lah ok. *blushes*
We used the time after breakfast to discuss about our wedding plans and he helped me draw the map to my reception venue. I was too lazy to do it myself. :)

Him: Dekat tepi Petronas ini ada traffic light tak ?
Me: *stares at the google map and scratches head* Errr, tak sure lah awakkkkkk !

Lihatlah ketekunan fiance saya. *bangga*

See, one eye only !
Yang penting saya comel kan awak, awak yang cakap ok, thank you. :p

Then we went to the settle a couple of wedding related details.
Had a lot of disagreements along the way. :'(
Planning a wedding is NOT easy.

We had our evening dessert at Snowflake SS15 which is located just opposite Asia Cafe. This place which sells Taiwanese shaved ice desserts, was introduced to me by Gan and Judith a few weeks ago and saya sangat suka ! :D
You can choose the type of ice and the toppings to go with it. :)

Mr Sunshine had the bestseller which was Grass Jelly Ice with Taro balls. He enjoyed it.

I had Soya Ice with Barley, Sweet Potato and Pearls. Ahhh, nyum !

Despite having a headache from lack of sleep the night before, Mr Sunshine obliged when I suggested we go for a karaoke session. Poor him. He was looking so weak, to the extent I offered to drive us there.
But singing works wonders I tell you.
He looked well and chirpy as soon as we started singing and chowing down the buffet dinner. :)

Hand me a mic and I would be the happiest person alive. :p

See, so feeling he menyanyi. Betul ke sakit kepala awak ni ?
I, on the other hand, was just posing, as usual. :)

I had to attend a Scientific Meeting on Writing and Statistical Analysis organized by the hospital's Pharmacy Department last Saturday morning. It was actually a two-day thingy but after much persuasion and begging (and tears), I was excused from the evening and Sunday session to attend my marriage course. Alhamdulillah. :)

Mr Sunshine and I had a little free time before our marriage course started, and he surprised me with booking a foot reflexology session at this place named Zouk Spa in Bandar Baru Bangi. Awww, I was so excited as I have always wanted to try it out !

Can you sense the happiness in me ? :p

The session started with me having to soak my legs in what was apparently chinese herbs. The lady who worked there told us it was to remove toxins from the body. Hmm.
Hmm.

It was like soaking my leg in rice porridge.

And then the reflexology massage session starts !

Sakit ya ? Ini usus nya. ...ini saluran kencing.

Sakit lagi ? Ini lutut, banyak berjalan ya ?

It hurt quite a bit at a few spots but apart from that it felt goooood. I'm gonna go again. Thank you awak ! :)

After our marriage course we drove straight to Rawang for Aunty Zainon's open house. It took us almost three hours to get there because of the unusually heavy traffic EVERYWHERE.
But it was so worth it, the food (and company) were to die for.

I should stop writing, shouldn't I ? I'm getting dizzy looking at my own post.

Oh hey, I have something for my incessant Coke craving these days.

Thank you McDonald's. I know this is bad but you know I'm in love with you. :D
